Application Fees

  • Single Paper:
    • General / OBC (NCL): ₹1000/-
    • SC / ST / PH: ₹500/-

    • General / OBC (NCL): ₹1200/-

Eligibility for Level-I

  • Completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 45% marks and passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, following the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). OR Completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Possess a Graduation degree with 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). A person who has obtained a Bachelor of Education qualification from any NCTE-recognized institution can be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. However, such a person must undergo a mandatory six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of being appointed as a primary teacher.

Eligibility for Level-II

  • Graduation and passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Graduation (with 50% marks) and passed or currently in the first year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation (with 45% marks) and passed or currently in the first year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. OR
  • Completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). OR Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation (with 50% marks) and passed or currently in the first year of B.Ed. (Special Education)*. OR Any candidate who has successfully completed a B.Ed. Program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to take the TET/CTET. Additionally, as per the prevailing TET guidelines issued in the NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, any person pursuing a teacher education course (recognized by the NCTE or RCI) as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also eligible to appear for the TET/CTET.
